About Tanjung Puting National Park

Tanjung Puting National Park is one of Kalimantan’s most remarkable natural destinations—wild, beautiful, and home to the endangered orangutan. Located in West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan, this national park is widely known as the largest orangutan conservation area in the world, offering a unique blend of rainforest, river ecosystems, and wildlife encounters.

The main gateway to Tanjung Puting is Iskandar Airport, Pangkalan Bun, which can be reached by daily flights from Jakarta, Surabaya, and Semarang. Travelers may also arrive by ferry from Surabaya or Semarang, or by land transportation from Banjarmasin and Pontianak.
