Itinerary Orangutan Trip 3 Days / 2 Nights
Day 01: Airport – Kumai – Tanjung Harapan Camp
We will pick you up at the airport or hotel in Pangkalan Bun, then drive to Kumai by airport taxi (approximately 20 minutes), passing several local villages. Upon arrival in Kumai, the journey continues by boat along the river to explore mangroves, nipa palms, and wildlife along the Sekonyer River while lunch is prepared on board. Prepare yourself for your first orangutan encounter during a jungle trek at Tanjung Harapan Camp. Get your camera ready, as you may also see wild orangutans swinging between trees along the way. In the late afternoon, observe proboscis monkeys and other primates along the river. Overnight on the boat.
Day 02: Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey
Breakfast will be served on the boat at 07:30 AM. Continue upriver to Pondok Tanggui to witness orangutan feeding around 09:00 AM. After visiting the feeding area, return to the boat and continue the journey to Camp Leakey. Lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, enjoy a jungle trekking experience of approximately 45 minutes and observe orangutans at Camp Leakey around 03:00 PM. Afterward, return to the boat and cruise downstream while enjoying afternoon tea and snacks. Overnight on the boat.
Day 03: House Boat – Airport
After breakfast, cruise downriver back to Kumai, then transfer by car to Pangkalan Bun Airport for your next destination. Tour ends.
